Hugh Jackman thinks that Channing Tatum is a good bet to replace him as Wolverine. The X-Men actor, 45, has been playing Marvel's mutant since 2000, but told Digital Spy last month that he knew he had an "expiry date". "I'm not 100% sure when that is," he said. "I'm also really sure it's not just my decision. In fact, more than likely not my decision! We'll see." When asked who he thought should follow him, Jackman suggested the Magic Mike star. "I don't know who could play (Wolverine)," he said. "Channing Tatum could probably play him." But James McAvoy, who plays Professor Charles Xavier in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, insisted that Wolverine "retire" after Jackman hangs up his claws. "Nobody could step into your shoes," he told the Australian actor.
Franco’s promotional stunt on instagram
The first trailer for James Franco's Palo Alto has dropped; the film which is either the reason for or a handy exonerating alibi for this week's "Instagram teen sex scandal". Emma Roberts plays a young student who enters into an affair with her soccer coach (Franco) in the movie. The trailer comes just a day after Franco became embroiled in a scandal over leaked Instagram messages to 17-year-old Lucy Clode, asking her questions like: "Can I see you? You're single? What's the hotel? Should I rent a room?" The incident has all the hallmarks of a publicity stunt, given he tweeted "I hope parents keep their teens away from me. Thank you," straight after the sexts came out.
Brad pitt to adapt steubenville hacker’s story
Brad Pitt and Plan B Entertainment have secured the rights to Anonymous vs. Steubenville, according to a Rolling Stone article by David Kushner about online vigilante Deric Lostutter's role in a landmark rape case. Lostutter helped expose a town-wide cover-up of a teenage girl's rape by two high school football players, bringing charges to the rapists and helping get the high school superintendent, the elementary school principal and two high school coaches indicted for concealing the truth, but also risking facing a 20-year sentence himself in the process.
