The Depth of Dance

Unlike most art forms, dancing guilelessly harbours the formal and the informal. The body becomes an idiom to convey what often the spoken word fails to. Movements, gestures, and expressions constitue intriguing moments for a photographer. These images are collated from various performances and workshops by practitioners of multifarious dance repertoires. In my work I have attempted to focus on the nuances of the subject, never letting the camera get in the way.
