If you're one of those plus-size women who is confused whether a style would suit you, this site will help you. Based out of the US and hosted by Tanesha Awasthi, a "curvy" woman, as she likes to call all plus-size women, the site gives styling tips complete with matching accessories, bags, shoes and even make-up. So what's different about hundreds of other sites that offer the same? Awasthi has a variety photos of herself in various attires with a few lines under each picture explaining what she's wearing, where it can be found and how to mix-match. Not one to be seduced by fancy labels it seems, you can this beautiful woman in many avatars — from classic chic and casual to the formal and party wear — everything you can buy not just in stores, but also at our local markets in Sarojini, Lajpat and Janpath. Though Awasthi leans more towards bold colours and less of prints, the ensembles are hardly boring or predictable; it's comfortable, stylish and enhances your curves. Often, plus size clothes tend to be off-trend, unflattering, and aims to hide curves as opposed to celebrating them. This site does the opposite. It promotes a positive body-image, self-esteem and body-acceptance in the curvy community. Awasthi also gives a list of must-have in a curvy woman's closet. "A pair of great jeans, a knee length sheath dress, a tailored blazer, a statement necklace, classic pumps, a crisp button-down blouse and ballerina flats. If you have these, you can pair them with trendier pieces, and you'll never look dated or out of style, because the main staples of the outfit are classics. It's time to create change, by making a statement that curves deserve style too!" A woman after my own heart!
