For the camera obsessed

InFocus M350

Rs 7,999

The InFocus M350 is a far curvier and slimmer phone than the other offerings by the American phone maker. It's a dual SIM phone, with one slot supporting 4G while the other only gets you 2G coverage, unlike the latest Redmi phones, which support 4G on both slots. The phone draws power to run Android Kitkat from a 1.5 GHz 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 2 gigs of RAM, while the 16 GB inbuilt storage is enough to cater even to the apps that demand a larger storage space. Even with these mighty specifications, the phone seems to lag a bit every now and then. We think it's because of the extensively customised user interface of the phone. That said, these tweaks to the UI make the experience cleaner, with easier access to additional features.

The InFocus M350 isn't a perfect phone, but it is charming. The back, which is thicker at the middle and slims down to a meagre 3.5 mm to the side edges, provides a nice grip on the phone, which is otherwise pretty tall. The back-cover (available in black, white and gold) has a nice matte finish that resists fingerprints impressively without making the phone seem slippery. The Phone has 8 MP auto-focus cameras both on the front and back, making it great for any camera related activity. And the f2.2 aperture manages to get a lot more into the frame than its competitors. The 5 inch qHD screen reproduces the images captured beautifully, and is also great for watching videos or playing games.

Overall, the phone has great ergonomics with slim sides covered in metallic strips and a comfortable back. At a price that puts it in direct competition with the Redmi Note 4G, we recommend considering this phone as a better choice if the camera is your primary, if not only, criterion to make the pick.
